Adding Users as an Organization Admin (Step-by-Step Guide)

Overview

This guide explains how Organization Admins can invite new team members to a Bizdata organization. It outlines the navigation steps, required user details, and permission settings needed to successfully onboard new users.

Organization Admins can control user access, assign permissions, and manage Integration Bridges through the User Management section.

When to Use

Use this process when onboarding new team members or expanding organizational access.

  • When inviting a new employee to the organization
  • When assigning specific operational permissions
  • When delegating Integration Bridge responsibilities
  • When controlling access to logs and workflows

How It Works

An Organization Admin adds a new user, assigns appropriate permissions, and sends an automated email invitation. The invited user activates their account by setting a password.

  • Access User Management
  • Create a new user profile
  • Assign permissions
  • Send invitation
  • User activates account via email

How to Add a New User

Step 1: Open the Side Menu

Click the three horizontal lines (hamburger icon) located at the top-left corner, next to the Bizdata logo.

Step 2: Go to User Management

From the side menu, navigate to:

  • Management → Users

Step 3: Add a New User

Click the Add button at the top-right corner of the Users page.

Step 4: Fill in User Details

Enter the required information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address (This will serve as the login ID)

Step 5: Set Permissions

Select the appropriate permissions based on the user’s responsibilities.

1. User Management Access

Controls management of users within the organization:

  • List: View the list of users
  • Add: Invite new users
  • Edit: Modify user details
  • Delete: Remove users
  • Details: View complete user information

2. Integration Bridge Access

Controls management of Integration Bridges:

  • List, Add, Edit, Delete, Details: Manage Integration Bridges
  • View Streaming Logs: Monitor live data flow
  • Download Logs: Export logs for troubleshooting
  • Start/Stop IB: Manually control bridge execution

Note: Assign only the permissions necessary for the user’s role to maintain security best practices.

Step 6: Save & Invite

Click the Add button at the bottom of the page.

The user will receive a welcome email with a link to set their password and activate their account.

Important Notes

  • Only new email addresses can be added to the organization.
  • Existing Bizdata accounts cannot be re-added.
  • The user must activate their account via the email link.
  • Permissions can be updated later if responsibilities change.
  • Admins should review permissions regularly for security compliance.
